KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, September 1, 2022 – ChangeU Group, a leading change expert in learning,
strategy, and talent search announced that Victor Foo has been named Principal Consultant of Hotelfinity, the hospitality consultancy division of ChangeU. Headquartered in Hong Kong, ChangeU Group is a leading change expert in leadership, speaker bureau, Subject Matter Experts masterclasses, 9 New Norms eSummits, executive search, employee skills assessment tools, and “Leaderfinity Insider Interviews of Industry Leaders.” Mr. Foo’s business appointment with ChangeU commences on September 1, 2022. His primary role is to spearhead Hotelfinity as a leading hospitality consultancy brand locally, with strategic regional expansion in the long-term. |
Foo has over 40 years of senior hotelier experience, and is well respected as an industry leader in the
hospitality sector. Foo served as the longest serving VP in the world's largest hotel, for 11 years. His last
job was managing 5 hotels in Resorts World Genting as Vice President Hotel Operations.
During his tenure, Genting Grand was awarded Forbes Travel Guide 4 Star and Maxims Hotel was awarded recommended ratings since February 2018. Both hotels were the first Forbes-rated hotels in Malaysia in 2018.
“Our own headhunters in our Borneohunter Division searched for top hospitality candidates in various countries,” said Robren, Founder of ChangeU. “I was not fully satisfied with the first round of candidates from our headhunters. I suggested to look into several high profile hoteliers, whom I personally trained in my own leadership program, Diamond Leadership, now rebranded as ‘Leaderfinity. This included some who have recently retired or resigned in the Great Resignation era.”
“Victor is the right leader for Hotelfinity. I have great conviction, rapport and trust in him. I have great conviction, rapport and trust in him. For future expansion, we’ll be searching for industry leaders to head other Specialist Consultancy Services Divisions such as IT, Media, Digital and Property,” said Robren. “I must thank Robren for personally involving in the search process. Two or three heads are utterly better than one,” added @Steve Chen, Regional Head of HR & Learning in ChangeU.”

Actually we're anticipating tough consulting and coaching work ahead, with lower charges as hotels need to recover from 2.5 years of massive losses and hemorrhage.
But... it’s highly fulfilling and spiritually rewarding to be able to help the hospitality industry recover.
Hopefully we'll gain similar success from helping Hong Kong organizations recover after a relatively 'short' SARS in 2003.
